Acoustic Registration of Partial Discharge in Isolation of High-voltage Equipment Using Piezoelectric Polymers

The paper presents the results of a study of piezoelectric polymer films P(VDF-TrFE) for using by the registration of partial discharge. Elastic polymer layers could be as placed on complex surfaces as formed on them. It is shown that with the use of a number of technological methods, it is possible to form P(VDF-TrFE) films with a thickness from 0.1 to 50 microns, which will allow to register PD in a wide range of frequencies.
