Noncontact Current Source Reconstruction Based on Independent Component Analysis-A Simulation Study

This paper implemented a current reconstruction system based on independent component analysis and magnetic field sensors. In this paper both the normal approximation and interfered approximation of magnetic flux density generated by current carrying conductors and sensed by four magnetic sensors are presented and discussed. The output voltage of the sensor array with and without interference was calculated based on the comprehensive independent component analysis algorithm. The relative reconstruction error based on the algorithm for array output voltage are within acceptable levels for protective devices proving the feasibility of the algorithm for source reconstruction.
