The Effect of Seed Density on Yield and Yield Components of Irrigated Wheat in the North East of Khouzestan

2014
seed density yield height components In order to survey density effects on increase of yield the experiment in a randomized complete block design in three duplication per year 2013 in the north east of Khouzestan province was conducted. Treatment, densities were 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 kg seeds per hectare. In this experiment, parameters such as the density of tillers, plant height, spike density per square meter, number of seed per spike, seed thousand weight and seed yield were measured. The results showed that the desired parameters by changing the amount of seeds per hectare had a different reaction. For example, the Increase in seed rate per hectare is reduced tiller, but the low seeding density, due to the low number of plants per square meter that plant is able to produce more tillers. With increasing density, plant height increases and there after decreases that it can be due to restrictions on plant food sources so that the maximum height can be seen in treatments of 200 and 150.
