Effects of Cowpea Storage and Transportation Methods on Cowpea Quality in Hainan Province

The physiological indexes of cowpea were determined for 7 days through simulation of the cowpea storage and transportation in Hainan Province.Comparison was made of the indexes with those of the non-treated groups.The results showed that the sensory quality,weight losing rate,rust index,fiber content in the cold-treated group were obviously better than the control group.The rotting rates in both groups were not quite different.The chlorophyll content in the treated group was lower than the control group.
