Global WIC–Early Careers: Building an International Multidisciplinary Network of Women in Cardiology

Despite considerable efforts, gender disparity exists in cardiology all over the world. In the United States and the United Kingdom, approximately 50% of medical students and nearly 50% of internal medicine residents are female. Despite this, only 20% (United States) and 28% (United Kingdom) of
