A method of calibrating an X-ray diagnostic device with C-arm

2006
A method of calibrating an X-ray diagnostic device with a height-adjustable in the z direction, horizontally movable in y-direction and along its circumference to an orbital angle α in a vertical plane movable C-arm with an x-ray receiver (7) and an oppositely disposed X-ray source (8), X-ray diagnostic device which is described by a kinematic model and a position detection system (18), characterized by the following process steps: (1) In the kinematic model of the X-ray diagnostic device, a point in space is set as a virtual scan center, which is located at the intersection of a horizontal and a vertical lying central beam (10) of the C-arm. (2) A point-shaped X-ray marker (15) is fixedly positioned in the space at the location of the virtual scan center. (3) The position of the point x-ray marker (15) is passed by means of the position detection system (18) determined in the coordinate system of the position detection system and to a computing unit (22). (4) From the space fixedly positioned point x-ray marker (15) for a number of settings (α, y, z) of X-ray diagnostic device runs in each case was added a 2D x-ray projection, for which according to the kinematic model of the central beam (10) through the virtual scan center and determines the center of the projection of the point x-ray marker (15) on the entrance window (11) of the X-ray radiation receiver (7) in the computing unit (22). (5) for at least one setting with a horizontally aligned central beam (LAT position), and preferably more (α, y, z) is determined and the position of the X-ray radiation receiver (7) in the coordinate system of the position detection system by means of the marks (16) processing unit (22) passed ...
