Crystal structure of [NEt3H][NbOF4(H2O)]

The structure of [NEt 3 H] [NbOF 4 (H 2 O)] is determined from diffractometric data (R =0.035 for reflection). The coordination of the Nb atom in the anion is a tetragonally distorted octahedron: The Nb atom diverges from the plane of the four F atoms by 0.32 A toward the oxo-atom O. The bond lengths are: Nb =0 = 1.719, Nb-O = 2.350, and Nb-F = 1.908-1.959 A. The anions are united into layers by H-bonds O-H...O and O-H...F; between the layers there are cations linked to the anions by H-bonds N-H...F
