A method for measuring the level of a liquid

There is described a method for measuring the level of a fluid in a housing by means of an ultrasonic sensor. There are established in respect to a reflected signal from a reference point multiple echoes and evaluated with respect to the light reflected from the liquid level signal Level echoes with respect to their variation. In this way the level echoes can be identified so that as far as the reference point and until the liquid level can be determined from the transit times of the signals of the level.
