Effect of Matrix and Salt Stress on Green Plants Seed Germination

In this study,indoor experiments were conducted to evaluate the effect of 6 base materials and 6 saltconcentrations on annual ryegrass,tall fescue and white clover’s seed germination and seedling growth of main root.The results indicated that germination of 6 seeds were better in vermiculite,vesuvianite and perlite,and that were poorin Tangjilanshi and ceramsite.With the increasing of NaCl concentration,germination of 6 seeds were decreasedsignificantly.The annual ryegrass was more salt-tolerant than tall fescue and white clover.Salt stress on seedling rootgrowth had also significant effect,the influence of salt concentration on the main root length were white clovertallfescueannual ryegrass.
