Industrialized real-time flame thermal mapping system with off-line correction of spatial error

1994
The thermal mapping system described can perform analysis of the combustion in a burner by means of a conventional CCD TV colour camera, a special card dedicated to the real-time calculus of the two colour pyrometry of the acquired images, a real-time presence/absence of flame alarm, an off-line specialized software module dedicated to correct the thermal mapping using information related to the specific flame morphology detected, in order to improve the measurement accuracy, and several integrated software modules dedicated to complete system management. Finally, a graphic user interface, based on windowing, pop-down keyboard and track-ball, allows a very simple use of the whole system. >
