Design and Analysis of PID, Type II and Type III controllers for Fourth Order Boost Converter

2021
There are a variety of DC-DC converters which are applied in several industrial applications such as power supplies and power grids. In such cases, the control of power converters become difficult for varying input voltage and output load currents. A classical PID controller is designed for keeping track of the voltage regulation and it has been further optimized based on the rise time and settling time to Type II and Type III controller for a comparatively better performance. The comparison of the different controllers is done for a better performance analysis. The steady state and the transient analysis of the closed loop converter are analysed in this paper.
