Effect of Svate-III on K~+ channel activated by Ca~(2+) in primary culture rat cortex neuron
2003
Purpose To observe the effect of Svate-Ⅲ on K~+ channel activated by Ca~(2+) in primary culture fetal SD rat cortex neuron. Methods The patch clamp technique of single channel recordings including cell-attach and inside-out mode was used. Results Svate-Ⅲ can activate the Ca~(2+)-activated K~+ channel, and can increase its probability of channel opening and lengthen the duration of channel opening. It demonstrates the dependence on concentration in some range. Conclusion Svate-Ⅲ can activate the Ca~(2+)-activated K~+ channel, and maybe has a protective effect on neurons.
