Cooperative Charging Control of PEVs in Constrained Distribution Network Considering Solar Power Generation

2021
Efficient management of electricity demand for plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) charging and timely consumption of renewable energy is critical to the overall efficiency and stability of the grid. Using solar power generation is environmentally friendly and energy efficient, but its output power will also have a negative impact on the power grid. In this paper, under the overload constraints of feeders, we establish a charging station model of PEVs with a solar power station, coordinating PEV charging demand and solar power generation to reduce the impact on distribution network. Based on the primal-dual subgradient projection algorithm, the charging control of the PEVs is studied in this paper. The simulation results show that our algorithm can coordinate PEV charging with solar power generation and effectively prevent overload of the the distribution feeders.
