On the relationship between Ca2+ efflux and membrane damage during t-butylhydroperoxide metabolism by liver mitochondria
1983
Abstract The release of Ca 2+ from rat liver mitochondria induced by t -butylhydroperoxide metabolism is caused by pyridine nucleotide oxidation and precedes alterations in membrane permeability which appear to result from, rather than cause, Ca 2+ release.
