Correlation analysis between the occurrence of safety accidents and land cover ratio: focused on 119 emergency activity data for Ulsan metropolitan city in South Korea

Regional safety index is published annually by ministry of public safety and security. Local governments make an effort to improve the index through the establishment of various safety policies. Nonetheless, in the case of safety accident field local government officials are having a difficult time analyzing the safety accident due to the fuzzy definition for it and different occurrence pattern by accident type. In this study, the characteristic of safety accident occurrence was analyzed by function of Eup/Myeon/Dong using 119 emergency activity data for Ulsan metropolitan city. The result can be used as the basic for establishing the preventive policy of safety accident.
