Study of Mold Filling Simulation on Low Pressure Die Casting for Automobile Wheel Casting

A study of optimization is made to the mold filling simulation on low pressure die casting for automobile wheel casting.A method named API short for Adaptive Pressure Iteration is adopted to accelerate the convergence of SOLA algorithm.A scheme of algorithm using dynamic search area for iteration is proposed to reduce redundant program expense and improve computing efficiency.A combination of accurate model and simplified model of filling simulation effectively speeds up the computing process under the condition of guaranteeing the simulating precision at key parts of wheel.
