Cuidado clínico de enfermagem à pessoa com Úlcera Venosa fundamentado na teoria de Imogene King

ABSTRACT Objective: To describe established interaction between nurse and patient based on the Imogene King Theory directed to people with venous ulcer. Methods: Research-action performed at a secondary care hospital in Fortaleza-CE. Data were collected through individual interviews and meetings from May to September 2015. Eight patients composed the sample. Content analysis was used for interviews. Results: Three categories and nine subcategories emerged based on King’s interacting systems: personal system, with 61.2% of the registry units; interpersonal system, with 21.6%; and social system, with 16.2%. 59.2% of fully achieved goals and 31.3% of goals partially achieved were achieved through interaction provided in meetings. Conclusion: The use of action research articulated to King is relevant for the patient with venous ulcer to reach goals, not only related to the disease and the wound, but to provide involvement, initiative and commitment in effective care, seeking quality improvement of life.
