Imunodiagnostico da leptospirose humana. 2. Estudo comparativo das reacoes de soroaglutinacao microscopica, hemaglutinacao passiva e imunofluorescencia indireta

1981
Tests of passive hemagglutination employing sheep red blood cells sensitized with F.polysaccharide antigen of serovar patoc and indirect immunofluorescence using the same serovar antigen were carried out in 98specimens from 38 patients suffering from leptospirosis presumably caused by serovars icierohae-morrhagiae, copenhageni, grippothyphosa or pomona. The results were compared with those obtained with microscopic agglutination test using 10 pathogenic serovars. Passive hemagglutination and indirect immunofluorescence tests were gcnus-specific, Passive hemagglutination is considered to be more appropriate for the early diagnosis of acute human leptospirosis.
