The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of epoxides which are useful as intermediates in a process for the preparation of nebivolol or Desfluorierten used Nebivololderivaten to be, by means of the reaction of an E-allylic alcohol to a dialcohol and conversion of the primary alcohol of the dialcohols into a leaving group and subsequent treatment with a base or by means of the reaction of an epoxide by means of a transformation of the primary alcohol of the epoxides into a leaving group, optional removal of the protecting group and carrying out intramolecular cyclization.
