A wearable action support system for business use by context-aware computing based on web schedule

We propose an action support system for a business person to know schedule and related information timely in a watch-type wearable device. We have investigated desirable notification contents and timing from actual business people. The system notifies at appropriate timing a user of train transfer guidance and news related to the event venue, which are generated based on user context on situation and user's behavior constraint due to schedule especially in business use. We implemented a prototype of the system in which a smart watch is used as notification user interface. We demonstrate efficiency of concept and usability of the system, showing results of subjective evaluation and field experiments by real business users.
