Circular dichroism of optically active organometallic derivatives of fullerenes C60 and C70

Palladium and platinum complexes of fulleienes C60 and C70 containing the axially chiral ligand (—)-BITIANP (BITIANP is 2,2’-bis(diphenylphosphino)-3,3’-bi(benzo[b]thiophene)) and pynolidino[60]fullerene bearing a planar chiral organometallic π-complex substituent in the heteiocyclic ring were studied by circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy.
