The adhesive properties of L. casei LC2W to gastric epithelial cell and its relationship with surface properties

2010
Objective To study the adhesive properities of L.casei LC2W to gastric epithelial cell MKN-45 and the relationship between adhesion and surface properties and elucidate the properties of adhesin.Method After treated by chemicals and enzymes, the changes of adhesion and surface properties of LC2W were detected and the relationship between the two properties was analyzed by correlation analysis.Result LiCl,pepsin,Proteinase K,phenol and heat treatment signigfantly decreased the adhesive ability of LC2W,indicating that the proteinous might be related to the adhesion of LC2W to MKN-45 cells. The change of hydrophobicity and autoaggregation after treated by chemicals and enzymes also indicated the exist of proteinous. The correlation analysis showed there were strong positive linear correlation between the change of adhesion of LC2W and hydrophobicity(r=0.893,P=0.007),and autoaggregation(r=0.86,P=0.014)respectively,indicating the role of proteinous in the adhesion process. Conclusion The adhesin of LC2W is a kind of proteinous.
