Effects of type traits on functional herd life of Holteins.

In this study,covariance and multiple correlation analysis were used to study the relationships between type traits and functional herd life(FHL) of Holsteins.The results indicated that foot angle,pin width and udder texture showed positive relationships with FHL,while,udder depth,median suspensory and udder width showed negative impact on FHL.Also,a regression equation was obtained as follow:y=-701.556+0.099x1+0.005x2+7.691x3+16.646x4+10.425x5+13.128x,and the R-square of this regression model got to 0.8934.
