A survey on various improvements of hybrid zone routing protocol in MANET

Zone Routing protocol (ZRP) combines the advantages of both proactive and reactive MANET routing protocol thus comes under the category of hybrid MANET routing protocol. ZRP is based on the concept of zones. The objective of this paper is to conduct a survey on ten various improvements proposed to ZRP other than the basic protocol implementation. It also conducts an analysis on these enhancements and points out applications best suiting them.
