The impacts of tangential boiler' s velocity fields on the propagation of the acoustic wave

2015
The propagation characteristics of the acoustic wave can usually be used to measure some thermal parameters by the way of non-contact. This paper proposes a new method to track the acoustic path by forward deploying triangles, which is based on the geometric acoustics and the Snell's law for moving medium in order to understand the impacts of the two-dimensional velocity field of tangential boilers on the propagation characteristics of the acoustic wave. Besides the finite element method was used to established the model of a tangentially boiler's velocity field. The simulation indicates that acoustic refraction can't be discovered obviously in the tangentially boiler's velocity field, however it's cannot be ignored that there exists a greater impact of the speed of the mediums on the flying time.
