A Novel Bidirectional Wireless Power Transmission System for Doubly-fed Motor

This paper presents a novel bidirectional wireless power transmission system for rotor power supply of double-fed motor. The system includes a grid-side AC/DC converter, a rotor DC/AC excitation controller, and a DC/DC converter integrated with a magnetic coupling high-frequency rotary transformer. The control strategy of the grid-side converter and rotor excitation controller, and the working principle of the DC/DC converter are analyzed respectively. By using a symmetrical structure, the transmission system can realize bidirectional power flow of electric energy and the four-quadrant operation of double-fed motor. The four-quadrant operation of a 4kW doubly-fed motor is simulated and analyzed, and the feasibility of the scheme is verified.
