Two micromethods for the determination of low sulphur dioxide contents in glass
1975
Abstract Two experimental methods for the determination of the sulphur dioxide contents (70–5000 p.p.m.) of small glass samples are presented. The first method involves vacuum fusion-mass spectrometric techniques whilst the second method is based on fusion-carrier gas-relative conductimetric techniques. Incorporated into both methods are techniques for the removal of interfering species, such as alkali and hydrogen chloride. The first method allows simultaneous determinations of other gases, but the second method is faster and more precise.
