Multipurpose-VMS implementation: three simple although effective proposals

Last September a United Nations meeting concerning road traffic signing was held at Geneva (Switzerland). Several countries, including Spain, were prompt to propose alternatives, innovations or strategies in order to improve the current VMS practices worldwide. Below follow a synthesis of the main proposals studied by the Spanish Road Traffic Directorate and the Traffic and Road Safety Institute (University of Valencia) in order to improve current national and international practices on VMS implementation.
