NC Cutting of Welding Groove for Intersecting of Two Pipes

The mathematical model of intersecting for two pipes was built with the theory of analytical geometry,the geometric shape was described by the parametric equation.Then the NC cutting movement was studied,which could be divided into four axis motions such as pipe rotation,torch moving,torch bevel and torch bevel rotation.Thus,the model could be applied in four-axis flame NC pipe cutting machine.The parameter expressions for NC cutting were given,such as intersecting curve,local dihedral,torch bevel angle and rotation angle,as well as the reference plane required to build the model.With the simulation of real cutting,the relation between cutting motion and each parameters was analyzed.
