Development of Knowledge Engineering Based Model of Insurance Sector

This paper develops Knowledge Engineering based model of Insurance Sector for automating the insurance process. To get an idea about the functioning of insurance sector LIC authorities are consulted. The paper develops Intellig ent Agent and Interaction Agent based knowledge base of Insurance Industry, which can be used at user level to draw conclusions using inference process for suggesting best policies to the user; and at organizational level it can be applied for drawing various conclusion in context of policy framing. This knowledge base thus developed will also be useful in knowledge reuse / management. Thus objective of this paper is to develop knowledge based model, which can automate the process of suggesting the best policy to the user as per their requirements. And allows the organization to use their knowledge as an asset.
