Food source plants of birds in "Bird basins" hunting region of Dayaoshan Mountain of Jinxiu were investigated from July 2003 to December 2008.71 species in 28 families of food source seed plants provide birds with fruits and seeds in autumn and winter,they were called "Bird-fruit trees" by local people.In addition,the "Bird glue" (which was used to stick the birds)that Yao people used for hunting was made from the bark of 9 Aquifoliaceae species,which fruits and seeds were also the main food sources for the birds.
