Oxidative determination of dextromoramide (Palfium) in body fluids

The oxidation of dextromoramide to benzophenone with alkaline potassium permanganate and measurement of its ultraviolet absorbance is advocated for the determination of this drug in urine and serum over the concentration range 5–40 µg ml–1.
