Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiatives in the Advanced Manufacturing Context: Exploring the Role of Interventions in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practices

2014
Innovation training has been identified as a key contributor to enhancing the innovative behaviour of organisations and economies; yet sparse literature exists on the development and assessment of innovation training programs. This is particularly so in the vocational education and training domain. We employ a transparent and reproducible procedure and critical appraisal of the literature; coupled with a case study implementation of a leading innovation-training program. The study provides a framework by which innovation training facilitators may develop and evaluate their innovation training programs. The proposed framework provides a thematic appreciation of the multi-dimensional relationships between components.
