Implementation of Torque Vectoring Systems in Pre-existing Low-Cost Electric Vehicle Systems

2021
With the recent developments in electric mobility, Low cost Electric Vehicles have become cheaper than ever. Short, low distance, public transportation is slowly transitioning to being electric. While the more expensive vehicles have started to come out with Torque vectoring systems based on the methods of Yaw rate correction, the cheaper counterparts still use conventional Differential systems to transmit power to the individual wheels, and a thorough cost analysis shows that implementation of a Torque vectoring system actually stands to be cheaper than Using the conventional differential system in low power applications. This paper implements a Torque vectoring system on top of a pre-existing Electric powertrain.
