USE OF PROGRAMMED AUTOMATION SYSTEMS FOR CHECKING OPERATIONS AND CONTROLLING RATP RECTIFIER SUB-STATIONS

1986
Lines on the network of the Paris Transport Authority (RATP) are supplied by rectifier sub-stations which provide 1500 V d.c. for the RER or 750 V d.c. for the metro. This article describes the programmed automation systems which have been installed much more widely since 1985 to monitor and control the different types of equipment which makes up a rectifier sub-station.
