Neighbor self-optimizing process design based on X2 in TD-LTE system

As another important aspect of SON(self-organized network), automatic neighbor relation establishment and update affects the overall performance of the network and the network handover performance. According to the traditional neighbor list optimized method and inadequacy, a kind of automatic neighbor list optimize algorithm was proposed by adding the optimization function into the traditional adjacent area process. The proposed algorithm set up X2 interface connection between the core network and base station. Then we analysed the messages of X2 interface to solve PCI (physical cell identity) conflict and PCI instability problems. Simulation results show that this algorithm can automatically finish neighbor list update, solve the unreasonable configuration of neighbor list. It can also improve the handover success rate and reduce the call drop rate.
