A gain-enhanced wideband dual-polarized antenna based on SRRs and CSRRs

2017
A wideband and high gain dual-polarized printed dipole antenna with SRRs and CSRRs is presented. A pair of orthometric printed dipoles is used to acquire two linear polarizations, and the dipoles are stimulated by two similar micro-strip baluns. As distinctive directors, SRRs arrays can increase the gain, reduce the beam width, and further broaden the bandwidth. The results show that the relative bandwidth of the proposed antenna for|S 11 |<−10dB is about 69% (0.98–2.01GHz), and the isolation between the two ports is greater than 20 dB. The maximum gain of antenna is improved up by 4.1 dB because of SRRs. Furthermore, the height of the antenna is reduced about 12% than the high gain dual-polarized antenna with log-periodic parasitic directors in [11].
