30 Jahre Dauerfeldversuche zum Pflanzenschutz

2010
Long-term field trials have been used for the solution of plant protection problems since the seventies. Comparing long-term field trials regarding plant protection to other plant protection experiments, the size is smaller because of high costs. Long-term effects of weed population diversification can be observed at the earliest after five years, but very often it takes 20 years of running time. This concerns both different plant protection strategies and also reduced herbicide doses. Population dynamic effects have an influence on yield, economics and resource efficiency. The sustainability of plant protection strategies can only be sufficiently assessed with long-term field trials.
