Analysis of field coupling effects in fracture mechanics by combining infrared thermography and FE-calculation

The description of thermo-mechanical field coupling effects in continuum mechanics is a sophisticated problem. For that reason, a hybrid methodology combining infrared metrology and numerical simulations is applied to investigate such phenomena in the fields of fracture mechanics.
