The Γ algorithm in convex cone analysis of hyperspectral images

2009
In this paper the use of the Γ algorithm to calculate the endmember spectra in the convex cone analysis of hyperspectral images is presented. The convex cone analysis of hyperspectral images has been introduced by A. Ifarraguerri and C.I. Chang in 1999. In that work, the authors calculate the corners spectra of the convex region that contains the sample data, solving a sequence of linear systems which increases with the number of bands. The Γ algorithm for obtaining the polar cone of a given cone allows to obtain the corners spectra solving a linear system of inequalities. The proposed method is illustrated with a simulated data example.
