Synthesis and properties of a novel asymmetrically substituted nitro-tri(t-butyl)phthalocyanatocopper complex

Abstract A novel asymmetrically substituted nitro-tri-( t -butyl)phthalocyaninatocopper complex was synthesized by a mixed condensation of two corresponding diiminoisoindolines. It could be purified by combination procedures commonly used in most organic synthesis laboratory. Its chemical structure and purity were confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, 1 H NMR, UV-Vis and MS. Thermal stability was checked by thermogravimetry analysis.
