Measuring K*(892) Mesons in Cu + Au Collisions at 200 GeV
2020
Invariant transverse momentum spectra and nuclear modification factors of K*(892) mesons are measured in Cu + Au collisions at the energy of 200 GeV. The measurements are performed in five centrality bins in the transverse momentum range of 2.0 to 5.75 GeV c–1 in the PHENIX experiment at RHIC. The nuclear modification factors are compared to the earlier PHENIX data obtained for symmetric Cu + Cu systems at $$\sqrt {{{s}_{{NN}}}} $$
= 200 GeV. The nuclear modification factors of K* mesons in Cu + Cu and Cu + Au collisions at identical Npart (number of participants) have a similar shape.
