Control of robot-based assembly cell

The paper discusses the concept of control of complex system, i. e. such one consisting of several subsystems as robots, TV-systems, CNC machines, PLC's, etc., working concurrently and cooperatively, and its application for robot-based assembly cell. The concept of control of complex system based upon finite-state automata network as well as brief description of synthesis of controlling structure are presented in nonformal manner. The software package FLEXELL allowing to control of a wide class of complex systems as well as low level language intended to form of the controlling structure are described. Control system of adaptive assembly robot-based flexible cell is presented as an application of developed approach.
