Control of security means a motor vehicle

2007
A method of driving safety means (116) in a motor vehicle (100) in a driving situation in which it can come to a collision between the motor vehicle (100) and an environment object (112) in the surroundings of the motor vehicle (100), wherein the safety means ( 116) can be controlled in predetermined intervention steps, in which - in response to detected movement data of the ambient object (112) a risk of a collision between the motor vehicle (100) and the ambient object (112) is determined, and in accordance with the collision risk, a first intervention level is determined, - wherein a second stage of intervention is determined in dependence on the determined size of at least one variable is determined which characterizes the behavior of a driver of the motor vehicle (100), characterized, that an object probability is determined which is a measure of the confidence with which the ambient object (112) has been detected, wherein a third level of intervention is determined in dependence on the object probability and the intervention level, in which the safety means (116) are driven, is limited to the lowest of the first, second and third level of intervention.
