Sicherheitsanalysen, Bedeutung von PSA und ZEDB: ZEDB: Instrument zur Ermittlung anlagenspezifischer Zuverlässigkeitsdaten

2009
Safety inspections of nuclear power plants under the Atomic Energy Act are regulated, inter alia, in the Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA) guideline. These analyses are performed in addition to the safety assessments based on deterministic principles. In this way, the influence of components, systems, and structures, as well as actions by personnel, on plant behavior in terms of technical safety can be described in a holistic approach and the safety level thus can be assessed quantitatively. Conducting a PSA requires plant-specific reliability data which are determined in the plant in question, but are also collected and stored centrally in the central reliability and event database (ZEDB).
