Best Production Practice of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Inoculum

To create AM inoculum of high quality is still tricky, and requires some theoretical considerations which are not common thinking in the community of mycorrhiza researchers. We exemplarily describe how to design a multi-purpose inoculum and how to produce it on a really large scale (>8 × 109 spores per year). Such an inoculum fulfils the most requirements of customers of a West European inoculum producer. We do not go into too much detail when documenting the biological basics, working hypotheses or procedures chosen. We describe how we do our job, and you might be able to compare it with your method of inoculum production.
