Experimental Research of the Self-cleaning Evaporators of Natural Circulation

Fouling removing or preventing evaporator of natural circulation is ideal to solve the fouling problem. The key lies in producing enough great driving force of natural circulation at reasonable heating temperature difference to make masted tape self-rotate reliably in heat transfer tubes. So, a new evaporator was produced in industry and industrial expemnents were conducted at normal pressure. It is showed that when temperature difference of heat transfer is only 26℃, the driving force of natural circulation can reach more than 11000 Pa, the twisted tape can be driven to self-rotate reliably and prevent or remove fouling continuously; heat transfer coefficient is increased by more than 10%. So, this new technique can make high profit for industry.
