Carga Física en Trabajadores de un Cultivo Florícola de Suesca, Cundinamarca

Colombia is one of the most recognized flowers exporters in the world and this activity is widely studied, but the physical workload is not usually one of the goals of the studies. This study proposeto find the level of physical workload in aspersion activity in workers of this labor on Suesca's flower farm. The step test was used to know the VO2 (maximum aerobic capacity)of each worker and the cardiac monitors during the work time. In this descriptive, observational and cross-sectional study, we found out a group of mean 30 healthy men (+/- standard deviation) age 29 +/- 7,6 years and we made univariate and bivariate analysis with the most statistical relevant variables (Frimat's Index - Years of work in Flowers industy and Physical activity level). The study showed statistica significance between Frimat's Index-Cardiac cost index and years of work (p=0,05 y p=0,01). We conclude that physical workload in aspersion labor must be evaluated individually and it ist influenciated by dialy work schedule, previous physical activity level and age; and these variables could increase physiological risk in some workers.
