ALLOSTERIC dCMP-AMINOHYDROLASE IMMOBILIZED IN PROTEIC MEMBRANES: KINETIC AND TRANSPORT CHARACTERIZATION IN A CSTR.
1986
An experimental investigation was carried out on the immobilization of the allosteric enzyme deoxycytidine-5'-monophosphate (dCMP)aminohydrolase by entrapment within polymeric flat membranes, according to a procedure reported by Thomas. Such membranes were either cut in pieces and adopted as heterogeneous catalysts in a CSTR or assembled in a standard cell and used as ultrafiltration membranes A theoretical investigation based on the method of moments was also performed in order to estimate physical parameters, such as the coefficient of effective diffusion and the voidage in enzyme-free membranes.
