An interpretative scheme for thermal interaction between water and sediment in shallow areas

In this paper we describe a possible mechanism governing the thermal energy transport between a shallow and mixed layer of water (as,e.g., a pond or a lagoon) and the underliying sediment. After the description of the equations and their solutions, the result of the theory is compared with the experimental data.
